Building Custom AI Assistants for Content Teams

Challenge:
Generic AI tools produce content that doesn't match Wix's specific voice, terminology, or article structures. Different teams (KB, Customer Care internal docs) each have their own guidelines and nuances. Writers needed purpose-built assistants that understand their team's specific standards — not a one-size-fits-all solution.
Contribution:
Built 'KayBot' — a custom chatbot programmed with the KB team's style guide, formatting rules, and editorial conventions — and then created specialized clones tailored to the needs of other teams, including Customer Care's internal documentation group. Each variant is fine-tuned for its audience's specific guidelines and common writing tasks. Continuously improving each bot based on user feedback, testing edge cases, and expanding capabilities as team needs evolve.
Outcome:
A growing ecosystem of team-specific AI writing assistants used daily across multiple departments. Each bot consistently produces on-brand content that requires less editing, saving writers significant time. The iterative improvement process means the bots get smarter with each round of feedback — demonstrating a builder's mindset and commitment to shipping tools that actually get used.
